Tukios acquired Batesville’s website platform to enhance our offerings and provide funeral directors with the most innovative, efficient, and supportive tools in the industry. This move strengthens our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions tailored to your needs.

2. Will my current services be affected by the transition?

No, your current services, including your website and e-commerce, will continue without disruption. Tukios is working closely with Batesville to ensure a seamless transition. Most of the Batesville team that has been running the website division has come along with the product.

8. What happens to my existing Batesville website and e-commerce features?

Your existing web platform will remain the same for now—there is no immediate change to your website. However, for those using Floral Select, we will begin migrating florists and their catalogs to the Tukios system over the coming weeks and months. This change is a key part of improving the overall floral experience for families, funeral homes, and local florists alike.

Our enhanced floral program is designed to be simpler, more efficient, and more profitable. It offers an easy-to-use platform for your local florists and streamlines the entire process for your funeral home. Orders will be easier to manage, commissions will be paid out monthly, and the overall experience will be more seamless for everyone involved.

9. Can I expect any new features or improvements with Tukios?

Absolutely! In addition to maintaining your current services, Tukios is introducing new features like a free digital lead engine, advanced AI tools, and seamless integrations to help your business grow and thrive. With more to come in the future!

10. Who will be my funeral home's representative and also, number for tech support?

If you are keeping your Batesville website as-is for now, you'll continue working with Batesville support. You can reach them at 812-534-8114 or by email at technology.solutions@batesville.com.

If you're ready to switch to the Tukios platform, reach out to Mariah Cunningham at mariah@tukios.com. She’ll guide you through the transition process, and once you're fully on the Tukios platform, you'll be assigned a dedicated account manager as your direct point of contact.

11. Do you have cemetery customers?

Yes!

12. Will the end user see any changes in design or functionality?


If you’re keeping your Batesville website, there won’t be any changes to the design or functionality. The only change the end user might notice is if you have eCommerce on your site—your florist integration will switch to our platform

13. Will there be a way to include a digital showroom that is accessible ONLY through a link sent to families (not searchable or publicly available on our website)?

Yes! We will be able to integrate Batesville’s digital showroom onto your website. We can have it on a hidden page that is only accessible by a link.

14. Our email is managed by Batesville as well. Will this continue with Batesville or be managed by Tukios?


Your email will continue to be managed by Batesville as it is now. That said, we do recommend switching to a Google Workspace account. It gives you more flexibility and ensures your email isn’t tied to any specific platform—so if you ever decide to make a change, your email goes with you. We’re happy to help you get that set up if you're interested!

15. We have a specific florist we use. Will this still be possible?


Absolutely! Our floral platform is designed to work directly with your preferred local florist. We’re all about supporting local businesses and want to help drive orders their way. Just let us know who you use, and we’ll make sure they’re set up and ready to go.

16. Can families add the photos directly and build the video, or is that only accessible from the FH side?


Within our video platform, you’re in control of how much access the family has. You can choose to share a link that allows them to upload photos only, or you can give them full access to create and customize the entire video themselves—it’s totally up to you.

17. Is there a charge to use the video software? We paid $17 to use your video software with Batesville.


Our video platform typically costs $20 per video, but partners like Batesville—as well as funeral homes using Tukios website platform—receive a discounted rate of $18 per video.

18.Can you customize the background on the obituaries?


Yes! We offer five different obituary layout styles so you can choose how the information is presented. You can also customize each obituary with a banner image and even add a background image behind the text for a more personalized look.

19.Will I be able to keep my old Integrations?


If we have an integration with the company, absolutely! We currently integrate with many companies, such as Passare, Halcyon, Osiris, FuneralCall, ASD, Thumbies, etc. If we dont have an integration already, let us know and we can see if we can get one created

20. Is having florists on the website a requirement?

No, having florists or eCommerce on your website is not required. However, offering eCommerce is what allows us to provide your website at no cost—so while it’s optional, it’s also how we’re able to offer the site for free.

21. Is there a way to remove the "send flowers" button from obit pages?

Yes, you have full control over whether or not the "Send Flowers" button appears on obituary pages. We want to give you the flexibility to tailor each obituary to the family's wishes and ensure it reflects exactly what they want for their loved one.

22. Our local florists declined the previous system. How do I get them connected with you (because I would love to have that as an option if they’re willing)?

We’d love to connect with your local florists and show them how our platform works! Most florists really appreciate the control and flexibility our system offers. Just send us their contact info, and we’ll reach out to walk them through everything and see if it's a good fit.

23. So although we don't have to migrate now, we will have to eventually?

We’re not requiring anyone to migrate right now, and there’s no immediate change being forced. That said, our long-term goal is to have everyone on the Tukios platform. We’ll continue adding new features and tools to Tukios, but updates won’t be made to the Batesville platform going forward.

24. Will there be an option for payment?

Yes! We offer an online payment portal & crowdfunding tool powered by Stripe Payments. 

25. Is there a way to livestream services through the website?

Yes. Our website platform supports livestreaming services.

26. We have had our website since 2006. Will all of our obituaries and information still be available? Will we still be able to maintain them as well?

If you choose to keep your current website, nothing will change and all of your existing obituaries and information will remain as is. When you're ready to switch to the Tukios website platform, we’ll migrate all of your obituaries in full—so there’s no need to worry about losing any information. You’ll still be able to access and manage them just like before.

27. What will the cost be and who will manage our domain name?

Tukios websites are completely free—no hosting, service, or annual fees. If you decide to keep your Batesville website, any current hosting fees will stay the same. When you're ready to switch to Tukios, we’ll set you up on our free platform with no ongoing costs.

If Batesville previously managed your domain, Tukios will take over management going forward. That said, you’re always welcome to manage your own domain—we just need access to point it to your new site. Our goal is to earn your business every day, not lock you in.

28. How often can the florist be paid? That was our florists main issue with the previous system.

Your florist is able to choose their payout frequency. They can be paid daily, weekly, monthly on our platform. 

29. For the crowd funding, do those funds go directly to the funeral home? Are there extra fees for that?

Yes, all donations from the crowdfunding tool are deposited directly into your funeral home’s account. There is a standard processing fee of 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction, which is applied to the total amount collected. This fee is taken on the backend—we do not charge any additional fees to the families making donations.

30. Will you offer a tutorial for us to assist us to navigate how to use your system?

Absolutely! When you switch to the Tukios Platform, you’ll be assigned a dedicated Account Manager who will be your direct point of contact for day-to-day support. They’ll provide a personalized training session before your new website goes live, and will also meet with you quarterly to share updates, new features, and answer any questions you may have.

31. When Services are added, does it have a button to turn on or off floral delivery to the location?

Yes! You have full control over each obituary, including the ability to turn floral delivery (and other sale items) on or off as needed. This gives you the flexibility to tailor each obituary to the specific service and family's preferences.

32. Also regarding florists - can we choose the florists? Batesville allows us to add local only florists.

Yes, absolutely! You have full control over which local florist(s) you'd like linked to your website. Just let us know your preferred florist, and we’ll make sure they’re set up. It’s your website, your business, and your families—we’re here to support what works best for you.

33. How can I create a video through tukios when the family doesn't want an obituary?

You can create a video without an obituary by going to Tukios.com and clicking on ‘Video Login’. After logging into your account, you’ll see all your previously created videos and have the option to start a new one—no obituary link required.

34. Will our (monthly) website hosting billing come now from Tukios rather than Batesville?

If you choose to keep your current website as-is, your monthly hosting billing will continue through Batesville—nothing changes for now. If and when you decide to switch to a Tukios website, there will be no hosting fees at all.

35. Can a family upload photos themselves to create a video for a visitation or do we upload them?

Yes! One of the features that makes our video platform the gold standard is the shareable Upload Link. You can send this link to friends and family, and they can upload photos directly into your video project. The images go straight into Step 3 of the platform, saving you time and storage—no more scanning or saving files to your computer.

36.Is there a sandbox for us to play around with a new platform before deciding to change?

We’d be happy to set up a sandbox environment for you to explore if you'd like to try things out firsthand. Alternatively, we can schedule a screen share and walk you through the admin side of the website so you can get a feel for how everything works before making a decision.

37. Do we have to take commissions away from the bill or can we pay full bill and receive full commission?

With the website platform, you receive your full commissions and your website is completely free—there’s nothing you pay to us. For the video platform, any commissions earned from sold video keepsake items are applied as a credit on your invoice, reducing the amount due.
